Studies show that hearing loss and maintaining your balance go hand in hand. They also show that those who wear hearing aids enjoy a significant advantage when remaining steady on their feet.

For the delicate technology included in today’s hearing aids to perform at their highest level and provide you with the most benefits, they need a little bit of TLC from time to time.

Whether you are one of our patients in the Scottsdale area or a hearing aid wearer who wants to get the most out of your hearing instruments, our professionals are ready to help with a professional cleaning and performance check.

Should You Take Care of Your Devices at Home?

We always encourage our patients to practice regular maintenance and cleaning on their hearing aids since everyday wear can result in a build-up of wax, debris, and moisture. Daily cleaning and inspection will also help you identify any damage to your device before it becomes a serious performance and/or repair issue.

We often hear of the same few troubleshooting issues, which are easily fixed by following a simple troubleshooting guide. Your device should perform at its best for four to five years, but in certain circumstances, and to take advantage of new technologies, you should consider updating or upgrading your equipment to continue to get the most benefit.

Our friendly team is eager to help guide you through any of these processes, but we also hope you will call on us to take advantage of one of the most important aspects of hearing aid care, an annual professional clean and check by our doctors of audiology.

What Can You Expect from a Professional Clean and Check?

Our experts have the experience, training, and equipment to provide a deeper level of hearing instrument cleaning while also checking or testing the performance of your hearing aids.

We are also happy to clean and check all types and brands of hearing instruments except cochlear implants. Cleaning involves:

  • Changing out the wax trap or wax guard, the dome, and retention cord.
  • We vacuum out any accumulated wax and debris from internal areas.
  • Our final step involves placing them in our drying chamber to draw out any moisture.

When you call us to schedule a clean and check appointment for your hearing aids, you can expect to receive our service right away.

Our existing patients receive this service as part of our ongoing hearing care. We honor our nation’s military veterans with complimentary clean and check service as well.

Scottsdale ENT’s clean and check service is available to anyone, including non-patients, in the Scottsdale community for just $40. In addition, we service hearing aids for the life of the hearing aids, not just the duration of the manufacture’s warranty, usually three years.

We Can Help You Get the Most from Your Hearing Aids

We want to ensure that everyone in our community who uses hearing aids gets the most from them, so we welcome all old, current, and new patients to our clinic to take advantage of this service.

If you or someone you know wants to schedule a professional hearing aid clean & check with one of our experts, please get in touch by calling us at 684-1080.

We hope to hear from you soon!
