Unemployment Assistance – Arizona Gov
If you require financial support or have lost your job due to the COVID crisis, then the Arizona Department of Economic Security Unemployment Assistance may be able to help.

Financial Support – The United Way Economic Relief Fund

Military Assistance Mission (MAM)
MAM is helping struggling military families whose finances may have been disrupted. All current Arizona military E-5 and below are eligible for assistance.
Short-Term Crisis Services
This program provides temporary assistance to low-income families experiencing an emergency need that cannot be met immediately by their own income, and resources to help stabilize an immediate financial crisis. A dependent child must live in the home.

Resident Relief Foundation:
Avanti Residential has a current partnership with this program. This program provides rent assistance to residents who have a good payment history, a proven source of income and who have lived at their community for a minimum of 9 months.

Utility Assistance – Project S.H.A.R.E. (Service to Help Arizonans with Relief on Energy)
Emergency assistance is given to people who, due to crisis situations, are unable to pay their basic household energy bills and have exhausted all other potential sources of aid. Assistance is limited to one grant per year, per recipient. SHARE is not a welfare or other government-funded program.

Rent Assistance – Catholic Charities
Catholic Charities has emergency assistance grants that can help you pay your rent. There are thousands of locations around the country, however the main Arizona offices are noted below. If a center isn’t in your town or city then call a nearby Catholic Charity organization or try a church. Many locations cover nearby counties, or they may have information on other churches or organizations in your immediate area.

Another Round, Another Rally
This Phoenix based nonprofit agency is a financial resource for people in the hospitality industry who are currently jobless. This is geared toward dishwashers, busboys, service hosts and cashiers. The group is giving out $500 to every unemployed person who applies on their website and uploads their last pay stub.

This foundation recently launched the RWCF COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund. The fund collects donations to provide relief to individual workers affected by the coronavirus and to create zero-interest loans to businesses.

Scam Call Support
If Arizona has a major disaster declaration those scam calls will increase tremendously.
– Only follow information from credible sources such as: https://www.fema.gov/ https://www.cdc.gov/
– NEVER give your personal information to someone who contacts you. If someone is claiming to be FEMA, you should hang up and call FEMA at 1-800-621-3362 to verify if the call was legitimate.
– As of right now, Arizona does not have a major disaster declaration, therefore all FEMA calls to people living in the state would be scammers.
